I am an American mathematical scientist, educator, writer and editor at ZbMATHOPEN, European Mathematical Society (https://zbmath.org/about/, www.fiz-karlsruhe.de) having earned my BSc (Hon), Masters and PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. My PhD advisor, Doron Lubinsky is Full Professor at Georgia Tech. My research interests include Approximation theory, Harmonic Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Manifold Learning, theoretical Neural Networks, Computer Vision, Artificial intelligence, Potential theory, Quantum computation having 83 published research papers and several in preparation , 4 books and one in preparation. I have held several academic positions including Visiting Scholar at University of Michigan, IMA new Directions Professor, University of Minnesota, Full Professor at Georgia Southern University and Editor, Mathematical Reviews, American Mathematical Society. I am a Lumiere research mentor (with particular interests in STEM and Artificial Intelligence research) and also will be a visiting Professor at THWS, Germany November 2026-January 2027.​

I am married to Ben and have three children, Ora, Gabriel and Tal.
